Implementasi Sistem Absensi Siswa Berbasis Barcode Di MAS Miftahussalam Medan

This study aims to describe the implementation of a barcode-based student attendance system at MAS Miftahussalam Medan. The system is designed to facilitate the attendance process through the utilization of information technology in school administration. In addition, this study explores the supporting and inhibiting factors encountered during the implementation of the barcode attendance system. The research employed a qualitative approach, with data analyzed through three stages: data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that the implementation of the barcode-based attendance system has simplified the attendance recording process and improved the efficiency of attendance management compared to the conventional method. The system is also integrated with automatic WhatsApp notifications to parents as a means of monitoring student attendance. The successful implementation of the system is supported by the active involvement of teachers, while unstable internet connectivity remains the primary challenge. Overall, the implementation of the barcode-based attendance system has contributed to improving the effectiveness of attendance management at MAS Miftahussalam Medan.
