Analisis Standar Keselamatan Jasa Trasnportasi Pada PT. ALS Perspektif Maqasid Syari’ah

This study aims to analyze the implementation of transportation service safety standards at PT ALS and examine their implementation from the perspective of maqashid al-shari'ah, particularly hifz an-nafs (protection of life). This study employs an empirical legal research method using statutory, case, and conceptual approaches. Data were obtained through interviews, documentation, and literature review and were analyzed descriptively and qualitatively. The results show that PT ALS has implemented several safety standards through pre-departure vehicle inspections, including checks of the engine, brakes, electrical system, tires, fuel, first-aid kits, and fire extinguishers. The company also provides driver training and conducts evaluations of drivers and vehicles. However, the implementation of safety standards is not yet fully optimal, particularly regarding driver health examinations, which remain limited to the driver's self-assessment of readiness, as well as aspects of vehicle roadworthiness and operational compliance that require further supervision and evaluation. From the perspective of maqashid al-shari'ah, the implementation of these safety standards is consistent with the principle of hifz an-nafs, as vehicle inspections, safety equipment, driver supervision, and operational evaluations constitute preventive measures to reduce risks that may threaten human life. Therefore, strengthening driver health examinations, vehicle roadworthiness monitoring, and compliance with operational requirements is necessary to optimize passenger safety protection.
